Independence Day Singalong with Homer and the Beaver

In honor of our country’s two hundred and fiftieth birthday the Babbling Beaver invites you to pause a moment from the hot dogs and fireworks and join us in song. You all know the tune, but we’ve updated the words to fit these trying times.

So turn on your sound, click here, and let freedom ring.

My Country ‘Tis of Thee (repurposed)

My country, ’tis of thee,
Reclaim our liberty,
From the left wing;
Open your eyes up wide,
Restore our nation’s pride,
Stop the West’s suicide
Stand up and sing!

Drive woke professors out,
Of their college redoubts,
Long march is through;
Shove that keffiyeh sash,
Right up their stinking ass,
Dump the postmodern trash,
Honor what’s true.

Two hundred fifty years,
Merits some hearty cheers
Strike up the band;
Washington, Jefferson,
Adams and Madison,
Vanquish the Jacobins,
Save our homeland.
