Two celebrity Trust-the-Settled-Science activists explain how they are personally saving civilization. April 2nd, 6pm. Free parking validated.
“We couldn’t have been more proud here at the MIT Museum when we helped transgender feminists “f*ck the patriarchy” by putting the groundbreaking exhibit In Posse on permanent display,” gushed Oxford Doctor of Philosophy Michael John Gorman, Director. “But platforming the two most prominent enemies of deplorable science deniers makes my heart go pitter patter!”
Michael E. Mann and Peter J. Hotez will sign copies of the book they co-authored, Science Under Siege: How to Fight the Five Most Powerful Forces That Threaten Our World — a work that calls climate change “as grave as the prospect of nuclear annihilation at the height of the Cold War.”
Michael E. Mann is Distinguished Professor of Earth and Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania, creator of the famous hockey stick temperature graph and Greta Thunberg’s counterpart promoting the integrity of climate science. He recently “prevailed” in a landmark defamation lawsuit, receiving $1 in compensatory damages — a figure his lawyers had originally estimated at $9.7 million. Penn State, which exonerated Dr. Mann for scientific misconduct in 2010, also manages the Sandusky legacy. The accuracy of Dr. Mann’s damages estimates tracks closely with the accuracy of his temperature forecasts.
Peter J. Hotez, M.D., Ph.D., is Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and America’s most visible vaccine advocate. In 2023, Joe Rogan offered $100,000 to charity if Dr. Hotez would debate RFK Jr. on vaccines. Dr. Hotez declined, explaining that public debate constitutes misinformation. He then appeared on MSNBC to explain this position to an audience of hundreds.
Tickets are free. The authors’ credibility is priced at negative $477,000, the amount a court ordered Mann to pay to reimburse his defamation case defendants’ legal fees.
