The long march through the institutions has been turned into a route, retreating under a blizzard of presidential executive orders. Universities terrorized by woke mobs can now begin restoring sanity, repairing tarnished reputations as they teeter on the demographic cliff of declining enrollment and the dual threats of reduced federal funding and taxation of bloated endowments.

Marking the sea change, the Village People launched a national campus tour celebrating the end of gender madness and the divorce of LGB and TQ. Normal, healthy gays and lesbians no longer have to pretend they support mental illness and medical mutilation of disturbed classmates. Confused students can get psychiatric help rather than having their unfortunate affliction amplified by policy-enforced “affirmation.”

Gender studies departments are being terminated. DEI offices are closing down. Students are passing bootlegged pronoun cleansing software hand to hand as they frantically seek to dewokify past social media posts that could jeopardize their job prospects. Purple hair dye and nose ring sales have collapsed in a preference cascade of historic proportions.

Even Harvard University has declared a period of mourning and reflection. Teach-ins and penance circles are sweeping across campus as professors and students ponder how the Woke Mind Virus they incubated for years destroyed the chief vanguards of progressivism – legacy media and the Democratic Party.

Dead-enders continue to shout defiance, rallying around the rapists, baby killers, and kidnappers that exemplify their vision of social justice. Little hope is held out for these lost souls as legislators study potential deportation measures.

A new day is dawning.
