Leading Woke bloviators spouting off in MIT’s faculty newsletter have long been known for their stalwart support of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Critical Race Theory, claims of systemic racism in STEM, cancellation of speakers who don’t toe the line, and the suppression of speech that questions DEIdeology. Watching these zealots pivot after October 7th into champions of free expression and academic freedom has been a masterclass in shameless hypocrisy.
The latest hatchet job appearing in this dumpster fire of a vanity publication is focused on attacking university gadfly Bill Ackman, whose Road to Gaza conversion transformed him into a threat to Woke hegemony. It’s time to rally around Iron Chancellor Nobles, MIT’s sacred DEI programs, and the army of deans, assistant deans, deputy deans, directors, administrators, staff, IDHR investigators, and publicists whose tentacles reach into every school, department, and program at MIT.
How dare outsiders call into question the policies of two successive presidents browbeat into Woke compliance! Next thing you know the supine trustees on the MIT Corporation might actually start doing their jobs trying to stem the slide of MIT’s brand, which is imploding faster than you can say “Hold my Bud Light.”
Alumni might start withholding donations. The best and the brightest students and faculty might start choosing to go elsewhere. And most dangerous of all, MIT’s science and engineering professors might be emboldened to crawl out from under their desks and push back against the SHASS cabal that hijacked the world’s leading STEM university.
