Obamacare architect, MIT Professor Jonathan Gruber, issues dire warning

Remember MIT Professor Jonathan Gruber, widely credited as being a major architect of Obamacare (before they disavowed him for telling the truth)? Here are some of his famous gems caught on video:

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass”.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was “written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes.”

When justifying John Kerry’s ‘Cadillac tax’ slight-of-hand he explained, “American voters are too stupid to understand the difference.”

Space does not allow a full review of Grubergate, But thanks to Perplexity.ai you can find a fully referenced summary here.

Well, he’s baaaack.

This time he’s playing the Designated Expert™ in a Newsweek article warning Californian’s of “Devastating New Health Insurance Costs.”

Boo-hoo alert!

“The additional subsidies Biden piled on to keep the ACA solvent are about to expire. When that happens, healthy people are going to drop out of our perfectly engineered government healthcare exchanges. This will raise premiums for unhealthy people. Californians are going to die unless you fork over more money!”

Hey Jon, not everyone is going to see fewer Californians as a national problem.

Schadenfreude aside, it’s heartening to see that despite his public humiliation and subsequent groveling, Gruber hasn’t given up his life’s work using the persuasive power of Noble Lie Economics to Build a Better World.
