Christina Hoff Sommers headed to MIT Women in STEM debate loaded for bear

Set your YouTube dial right here for Wednesday night April 30th at 7pm Eastern for a showdown to remember as the world’s leading freedom feminist takes aim at the DEI Queens of STEM in the spring MIT Free Speech Alliance Great Debate.

The resolution on the table: We Must Close the Gender Gap in STEM

As the era of Affirmative Action comes to a crashing close, will the world’s leading STEM university still be able to discriminate against men in admissions and faculty hiring in its virtue quest to achieve gender parity in every field of science and engineering?

Ever since Professor Nancy Hopkins brought MIT to its knees thirty years ago with her charges of systemic gender discrimination, people have wondered whether women would flock to the hard sciences and engineering once alleged discriminatory barriers were removed. The answer appears to be … not without permanently tilting the playing field. A process that continues to this day.

Sommers’ 2008 analysis and takedown of the MIT150-page mea culpa pleading guilty on all counts set the stage for the feminization program that has dominated MIT’s culture, and much of STEM, ever since.  Seventeen years have passed since then, ample time to examine the results of a generation of chromosomal selection.

Let the cross examinations begin.
