University of California science grant money laundering kills 20 million

As Rocketman’s Dogetroopers continue the Dogekrieg against USAID, and confirmation mounts that the SAR-CoV-2 virus was indeed engineered and then accidentally leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a big part of the money trail seems to have passed through the University of California.

What was that infamous quote from Deep Throat?

But, hey, accidents happen. No one is to blame! All that gain-of-function research was done with the best of intentions. Which was to publish breakthrough papers in Science and Nature that help worthy scientists pull in more federal grant funding.

And if something were to go wrong conducting virology experiments that were judged so risky that there were banned in the US, what would be better than contracting them out to shoddy labs in China? Everyone involved could count on USAID-funded censorship initiatives to bury the truth and control the narrative. (Don’t be a science denier, the Experts™ say it came from Pangolins!)

In the end, what’s 20 million dead compared to the noble work the country’s largest state university system does cranking out social justice warriors ready to make the country over in California’s image? Plus, for every tax dollar that actually made its way through the hands of the University of California to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, at least that much got raked off in overhead fees to fund administrative staff growth.
