According to market research studies the global diversity and inclusion (D&I) market was valued at US $9 billion in 2023 and is expected to reach US $30 billion by 2033. Those hopeful projections are now at risk given the failure of the American people to elect a president that would keep us on the right side of history.
As the DEI backlash grows, what can be done to keep this essential industry growing?
Enter the MIT Initiative on Combatting Systemic Racism (ICSR). Fanning the flames of outrage over systemic racism is the best way to preserve high-paying jobs that would otherwise be threatened by taking Martin Luther King’s dream of a colorblind society to heart. And who could be better to lead such an initiative than the Queen of Systemic Racism herself, MIT’s first DEI-hire chancellor, Dr. Melissa Nobles?
ICSR plans to create a data hub where motivated researchers can scour the earth looking for unequal outcomes, prima facie proof of systemic racism. These data can then be massaged and harvested to create media narratives designed to inflame and enrage volatile allies who can take to the streets demanding social justice and corporate protection money.
“Racism in America may be on life support, but it’s our duty as professional anti-racists to provide attractive career paths for future generations of practitioners.”
