MIT’s Prophylactic PR Pivot

MIT PR Pivot

In a dramatic turn of events not at all related to panic over being cut off from federal funding, MIT launched a public relations campaign designed to convince America that the world’s leading STEM university is not incurably woke.

Gone are attempts to be part of the Ivy League in-crowd championing LGBTQ-BIPOC-BLM-ANTIFA-HAMAS causes. Back in vogue are chest-thumping testimonials to MIT’s historic role in the US military-industrial complex and unabashed promotion of American exceptionalism in science and innovation.

The merit-based video proudly proclaims This is MIT. Aargh! The Beaver couldn’t have said it better.

Nor more promoting this. Or that. And please pay no attention to this. And, hey, that is yesterday’s news.

So, the Beaver asks, is it safe to come out of the bunkers and resume singing our old song? We are, we are, we are, we are, we are the engineers! (For a wussified version listen here and get a lesson in how to emasculate a drinking song.)

If you keep pushing hard enough the Overton Window will shift, allowing the pendulum to swing. MIT’s hyper-feminized Social Justice Warriors had their day. The recent DEI decapitation strike rocked them back on their heels. With a little boldness and determination, we will soon have them on the run.

Take heart, comrades, the citadel held. STEM has not fallen, though much work remains. Because when it comes to defeating wokeness, this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Help Make MIT Great Again.
