In a miracle of cultural deracination, the Woke Mind Virus affliction known as DEI that crippled America’s leading educational, corporate, and government institutions for nearly a decade has been beaten back from its metastatic Stage IV status. While not entirely cured, it is expected to persist as a tenacious but non-life-threatening toe fungus.
As dead-enders circle the wagons at discredited elite credentialing finishing schools, the once burgeoning pipeline of DEI professionals and opportunistic grifters seeking cushy sinecures has become a rout not seen since the demise of Thalidomide salesmen.
And yet, toe fungus is no laughing matter. Experts expect it could take another decade before the final remnants of a profession once predicted to become a $15.4 Billion global business are flushed down the memory hole.
As universities scrub their websites of any mention of the now-radioactive acronym, with the same happening on LinkedIn profiles, one has to wonder what we can do with all the DEI certificate holders who once presided over this identitarian reign of terror.
