MIT’s effort to herd students into segregated racial and ethnic groups to better prepare them for DEI oppressed-identity indoctrination just suffered a major setback.
In light of the 2023 SCOTUS affirmative action decision, frantic lawyers were concerned about the legality of MIT’s special three-day residential program for newly admitted Latino students. As a result, secretive Latino-exclusive invitations and race-based free plane tickets to attend spring Campus Preview Weekend, normally paid for by MIT’s Admissions Office, got the kibosh.
It seems that despite the pledge by Dean of Admissions Stu Schmill to do everything in his power to thwart the spirit of the SCOTUS decision, the letter of the law has taken precedence.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the Ebony Affair program was similarly impacted.
“Words cannot express my anger and sorrow,” exclaimed Dr. Panem et Circenses, Deputy Dean of Diabolical Duplicity. “I thought we had things all worked out so that nothing would change just because a bunch of bigoted unelected judges said we couldn’t play favorites when handing out free stuff. How are we supposed to achieve our Diversity Dashboard composition targets without special set-asides, privileges, and subsidies?”
Students took the setback in stride, aside from the disappointed leadership of the ethnic and racially segregated member organizations whose influence and notoriety stand to suffer.
