Our inaugural (not fake!) paper is titled “Net Zero Averted Temperature Increase.” It can be downloaded here or from the arXiv open access archive.
This paper does the math to answer the burning question – How much less warm would the planet be if the United States totally eliminated net carbon emissions by 2050?
Put aside the heresy that complex and ever-changing global climate patterns cannot possibly be characterized with a single number that must be kept under two or else we’re all going to die. This hyper-reductionist idiocy was promoted by Experts™ because it facilitated easy media amplification by click-hungry journalists, aided and abetted the designs of power-hungry politicians, released billions of dollars in grant funding to scientists on the dole, and dropped hundreds of billions of dollars into the greasy palms of opportunistic crony capitalists.
Questioning this narrative will get you branded a science denier. And so, our authors conducted a simple experiment. They plugged Net Zero inputs into the “settled-science” models used to forecast catastrophe to see what they would predict.
Lo and behold, the models used to fan the flames of climate hysteria show that eliminating all US carbon emissions would have such a small impact on the planet’s temperature that even the most sensitive instruments couldn’t measure it.
But if the US eliminates all carbon emissions surely the rest of the world will follow our example. Otherwise the expense and sacrifice would be pointless. Good thing our leaders and Experts™ are feared and respected everywhere from China to India, Russia to Africa. So the rest of the world can be counted on to emulate our virtuous ways. Right?
The authors do that math too. If every country in the world eliminated all carbon emissions by 2050, what temperature reduction do the IPCC climate models say we will get to justify the destruction of trillions of dollars and the death through energy poverty of hundreds of millions of brown and yellow people?
